Get to Know Jun Lozada through His New Blog

Posted by Karlo.PinoyBlogero on June 6th, 2008 10 Comments »

Who doesn’t know Jun Lozada, the star witness on the NBN-ZTE Deal? In recent months we’ve seen him on TV as he revealed one of the biggest controversies in Philippine History. We also witnessed how Lozada’s revelations have divided the country into believers and non-believers.

As a mere observer of the whole charade, I could never make out what was true or not. My stance on whether Lozada was telling the truth was not clear partly because I didn’t know him very well for me to have the right to judge him. Then again, no one really knows who Jun Lozada really is. The Filipino people had placed him under scrutiny, judging him under the facts given to us by the media. But let’s face it, truthfulness on such matters is not the media’s main priority. There would always be bias on such controversial matters.

The Pinoy Blogosphere Post-Hiatus Recap

Posted by Karlo.PinoyBlogero on June 1st, 2008 13 Comments »

I’m back!

At last, I finally found some free time to blog again. Being on the final year of my college life, I consider this opportunity as a miracle. Rarely do students like me have the luxury to slack off from studying and have the time to engage in an equally demanding task such as blogging.

Unfortunately, my free time is limited to only a couple of hours per day. And so, to avoid overstressing myself once again, I have decided to make some adjustments to my posting frequency. Instead of the regular T-Th-S-Su schedule, I’m lowering the frequency down to 1 to 2 major posts a week (excluding weekend recaps and news).

Anyways, enough with that, let us check what has happened in the Pinoy blogosphere during my absence.

In our attempt to become successful bloggers, we rely heavily on the wisdom parted to us by those probloggers who had already gone down the path that we are taking right now. However, there comes a time when some of them contradict each other – One problogger says that sponsored posting is unethical, the other says the opposite. One says that a long post could bore the readers, the other says that a long post is essential. And so on.

With all the conflict in ideas and teachings, who should we believe in? What steps should we follow in order for us to become successful?

Featured Blog: Are You Up For The Blog Awards Challenge?

Posted by Karlo.PinoyBlogero on April 11th, 2008 10 Comments »

Some say that a measure of a blog’s worth is through the number of traffic, subscribers, and how big the earnings of that blog are. Although this is somewhat true, a lot of people forget that the quality of posts are also crucial in determining a blog’s value. Covered with all the hype of money making and marketing, little importance is given on the quality of the thing that really matters: Content.
