Full Name: Juan Karlo Licudine
AKA: PinoyBlogero
Age: 22
Nationality: Filipino
Occupation: Student/ProBlogger
Interests: Blogging, playing music, digital art, video games, anime, creative and technical writing
Karlo Licudine is a 20 year old Filipino student studying in the hectic and fast-paced world of Mapua Institute of Technology. A proud Filipino and a certified true-blooded student blogger. Karlo has a passion for the arts, both on canvas and on paper. For him, it doesn’t matter how or where you express yourself, as long as you express them to others.
Art is nothing without an audience.
Karlo has been a part of numerous student publications in the past. His first step into the realm of writing was in his 4th year of Highschool when he became a part of Insights, the official school publication of the Second Philippine International School in Riyadh.
He took on the position of Graphic Artist, Lay-out Artist, and part time Feature Writer. As soon as he got in college, he then joined the The New Builder, the official newsletter of Mapua Institute of Technology, as a news writer and later a part of the feature writing team. It is in here that he learned many things in the arts of technical and feature writing.
Why a blog about pinoy blogging? Ever since I first engaged into the realm of blogging, it is the pinoy blogging community that has helped me stand on my feet. It is because of these interactions that I have discovered the difference of pinoy blogging from all the other blogging communities in the blogosphere. I even found out many interesting topics that are inadequately addressed by the community, it is because of these things that has led me in the creation of PinoyBlogero.
How long have you been a blogger? I have been in the blogging business long enough for me to know the do’s and don’ts of blogging. I have already made a couple of blogs throughout my online years, there’s a personal site about myself, a blog about different made up stories, and even a blog on cell phones. Even though all of them didn’t become as successful as I hoped they would be, they have taught me a lot different things in blogging.
Do you consider yourself an expert blogger? This answer to this question would be best addressed on my disclaimer page.
Are you a full time blogger? Being a student at a well known engineering school, I am aware that being a full time blogger would greatly affect my academic standings. I see it merely as a hobby, a chance to share and express my ideas and thoughts on different topics.
