This is only brief news recap of the Taste Asia event. I will post a more detailed and personal account of the event tomorrow on my personal blog, Blogging on Paper.

SM Mall of Asia's Taste Asia

The SM Mall of Asia recently held the “Taste Asia” Blogger Meet-Up event last night, July 3, 2007. The event aimed to promote the different delicacies which can be found in Asia by serving free food and drinks to attendees.

Over 150 bloggers and 50 SM Hypermarket guests attended the said event. Among the crowd were prominent figures in the local blogging scene, Abe Olandes of Yugatech, Aileen Apollo of An Apple A Day, Jayvee Fernandez of A Bugged Life, Janette Toral of Reflective Thinking (digital filipino) and more.

As a part of the entertainment, Marcelle Fabie performed a number of magic tricks which amazed and bewildered the crowd. Jayvee also entertained the crowd by playing the guitar. There was also the cliquebooth, the party photo booth, which has garnered a great amount of interest from the attendees.

Taste Asia is a restaurant which serves freshly cooked food with ingredients taken directly from SM Hypermart. On their menu are different dishes from different parts of Asia.

Taste Asia is located behind the Hypermart of SM Mall of Asia.
