A few days ago, I have left a question on the PB Forum for the readers of Pinoy Blogero which asks a serious question if bloggers only think of earning money when they blog.

I know that most bloggers has already considered earning money from their blogs. To some it might have been an easy decision, but there is also the other half which took this issue more like destroying the true essence of blogging.

Is it okay to blog for money? Does earning money through blogs deviate our attention to the real essense of blogging?

Let us hear what others have to say. All of us have our different opinions. Who knows, maybe we could learn a thing or two from each other.

I like the way Steve Pavlina answers the idea on how to make money from your blog . For me, this should be the mindset of all bloggers.

I have heard about bloggers making money from blogging.

But honesty, and don’t hate me for being ignorant about this, I DONT KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT IT. But given the chance, I would welcome the idea because it gives the blogger another form of income, i just hope that the content is not sacrificed.

Let’s be honest about it, money makes the world go round. And if bloggers are given the chance to earn while they blog, then its a beneficial cycle for bloggers.

i think it is not okay to blog just for having or getting some money from blogging… nawawala ang essence na pag-bloblog! blogging is free writing… if bloggers get some money from blogging, i guess it is just a reward or some sort of a bonus… (^_^) V

Blogging is about content, it is a way to share information among other people through the internet. And I believe blogging for money can’t be helped and will still be an encouraging force behind other wanna be bloggers. But I do believe that it is still the contents of the blog site that counts, whether you want to make money or just for self pleasure, readers love to visit blog sites for interesting, entertaining and fun contents.

Ultimately, it is a matter of valuable articles and related articles that make blogging fun and educational. It brings our other self into life with blogging and makes us true to our self. Money will still be an issue but, what the heck, if the site contains information I love to read.

Blogging for money ain’t exactly bad. Afterall, hindi naman mauuso yan kung nakakasama lang siya, eh, di ba? But that does not mean na all-out supporter ako, as in ‘I totally support it’, ng nasabing set-up. Sabi nga ni Karlo, the Pinoy Blogero, sa isang post niya, may dalawang uri ng Pinoy Bloggers, let alone bloggers in general:
1.) Personal Bloggers
2.) Niche Bloggers
Quoting the said post, “Probloggers can be classified under this [Niche Bloggers] category. These are full-time bloggers who are geared to maximize the money making capabilities of a blog through different means. Network bloggers, fall under this group as well.”

Ang point ko lang, assuming that we all agree on Karlo’s concise generalization of the blogosphere, kung Personal Blogger ka, then make your blog personal. Kung niche blogger ka naman, then do your readers well.
ang problema lang dito, sa ganang akin, what if you are one of the Personal Niche Bloggers?

Professinally, yes. If there’s an opportunity. Personally, it’s the passion that we love, the passion of expressing ourselves, our photos, our experience, which we wanted to share with others. In the process, you might get paid or not. Most, not . . . hehe . . . nevertheless you are building a network.

Its not bad making money the objective in blogging. What will make it unfavorable is when you abuse it. Since this activity is originally made for content, substance, sharing, channeling and the like, we need to balance it. Continue making money through your blog while you continue posting healthy, sensible and valuable entries. That simple.

Para sa akin, there’s nothing wrong if you blog for money. Wala nang libre ngayon.
Basta hindi masama o nakaw yung ginagawa mo, walang masama. Dagdag kita kumbaga.

Sometimes when you blog for money, you try to make your posts interesting to the public, you entertain them.. you earn and at the same time you were able to help others.

Kaya para sakin ok lang as long as hindi nakakasama sa iba yun bang buwaya masyado na halos yung post mo may ads pa sobra na yun.
