This is an enlightening post. However, I must say that quality writing still rules. Any writer, whether online or for print, should strive to write blogs that are as grammatically correct and well-written as possible. One does not need to be as creative or articulate as Jessica Zafra or Bob Ong (who are really creative writers), one only needs to write in clear, understandable Standard English. Grammatical errors are very distracting and can be confusing to other readers who may not understand the nuances of your local English variation (unless you explain them). My take is, any blogger should express themselves and keep writing. But one should not forget to always check one's grammar & composition book or have one's posts edited by other people. The difference between a professional blogger is that he or she keeps in mind his or her audience, while the amateur writes only for himself. Kudos to your efforts. This is an enlightening post.
