A Post a Day
On my previous featured post, I asked my readers if they are satisfied with the current posting frequency of PinoyBlogero.com. Seeing that only one of them took notice of the question, I would like to rephrase the question for the sake of getting more feedback.

Do you want more posts here on PinoyBlogero.com?

The posting frequency that I have for PinoyBlogero.com is a post-on-every-other-day basis. I have started out with a T-Th-S-Su posting schedule but I’m soon going to change it to M-W-F-Su. It doesn’t really matter either way as long as there is a one day gap between postings.

Aside from the reason that I don’t want to choke my readers, here are other reasons why I think such a posting frequency is best for my blog:

I want all my articles to have enough exposure

Every time a new article is posted, the old ones are pushed downwards which lessens the exposure that they originally had when they were on top of the stack. With a M-W-F-Su schedule, all the articles posted on M-W-F will have an additional one day of being on top, hence having more exposure.

This is the reason why most of my feature articles end up with lots of comments.

I don’t want to run out of ideas

As much as possible, I try to deviate from the usual posts that plague the blogosphere by providing good and unique content. However, coming up with such has proven to be very difficult. This is why I try to post them slowly one-by-one to avoid depleting my idea box.

I don’t want to stress myself

Aside from blogging, I have other things to worry about. I’m currently on my final year in college so you could imagine how difficult it is for me to juggle two complicated and time consuming tasks at once.

I want to have enough time to compose my article

As a former writer at our school publication, I was trained to always take my time in writing my article. The writing process is easy, it is the editing/proofreading process that takes some time.

Not only that, I also have to create a comic or image that would go well with the article similar to the one above. Creating one comic usually takes up about 1-2 hours from scratch. Thinking of a funny gag for the comic takes a whole day!

I would really like to listen to your side. The future of PinoyBlogero.com will be depending on your feedback! Just drop by a line on the comments section below. Thank you very much!

Happy Blogging!

It’s ok not to blog very frequently, as long as your posts are insightful. You can use Twitter for typing short thoughts anyway…
