James from PinoyMoneyTalk just recently discovered a new feature being tested on Google AdSense: Scrolling Ads.
As you can see on the image above, there are two little clickable buttons on the lower-left corner of the AdSense unit that let’s you scroll through advertisements. These buttons can also be placed on other sizes of AdSense units like the leaderboard and banner sizes.
There were no official statement from Google regarding the new feature. It looks like Google was just testing it out. The feature has been quickly removed and all are back to normal.
I wonder if people would actually use these scroll buttons. Better yet, will they even notice it with its small size? James says there are several variations of the arrows. I just hope there is an option where you could make it larger, otherwise, people would just overlook these buttons.
Though I still think that this new feature would be a great help especially to those who have a very limited space to offer for Google advertisements.
Expect Google to release this new feature soon! Once the official word comes out, I’ll be the first one to try it out.
Happy blogging!

Yes the ad scroller feature is still on trial stage but, once in a while, I still see it on our ads at PMT (last time I saw it was a few minutes ago).
Karlo, just want to clarify that I did not say that the arrows can be pre-set. What I mentioned in the article was that there are variations of arrows for different ad formats. I personally saw three different sets of arrows for three Google Adsense ad units. But no user can yet change those arrow settings. They can only be used to scroll up and down or left and right to see more advertisements.
