A few days ago, the TV show “Korina Today” made a feature segment entitled “Beware of the Blog,” wherein, the host and a number of guests talked about their views about the different issues relating to blogs primarily brought about by the Brian Gorell controversy.

The discussion raised a number of intriguing views about blogging. From notions like a blog can only be a reliable source of information if the blogger behind it is “respectable”, to the definition of illegitimate blogger as bloggers who hides behind anonymity, and a couple more which can be read on Noemi’s blog.

• A new Google Adsense rule has been rolled out a few days ago by Google stating that Adsense Ads are now not allowed to be placed under misleading titles. Read more about it here.
• A segment entitled “Beware of the Blog” on the Korina Today TV Show raised a number of interesting, and in my opinion, misguided views of the world of blogging. Some of the points that were discussed were:

A lot of people say that anything that is “too much” is bad. Apparently, blogging is no exception to this especially when it comes to the health of its users.

Most blogging health risks are caused by too much stress due to over-working, some are from spending too much time in front of computer. Whatever the causes are, we could clearly see that in our effort to do more, we unknowingly risk ourselves to dangers that may affect our future in Blogging.

I would like to apologize for my absence last week, I was ill and had to spend my days recovering at my lola’s house (where there is no internet connection). I feel a little better now but I decided to hold back and rest some more until I’m all better.

Hopefully by tomorrow I could resume with my all my blogging work. Sigh, it looks like I need to bring my dead blog back to life again.

Blog. This is just one of the many foreign words that have no direct translation in the Tagalog language.

I’ve read an interesting article a month ago over at PauloMartinez.com that invites Pinoy Bloggers to go and look for a Pinoy term of the word “blog”. Weeks have passed and I went back to see if anyone had left any suggestions for the term, but unfortunately, there wasn’t any. I then wondered, “Why aren’t bloggers interested in looking for a Tagalog term for the word Blog?”

Good news. Classes in Mapua are already finished which means I’ll now have more time to concentrate on PinoyBlogero.com and on the new blog that I am planning to build. Oh, I’ll also have more time to prepare for my talk on one of the biggest blogging conference here in the Philippines, IBlog4. Hay. Buhay blogging, ang saya!

PinoyTopBlogs, the number one Pinoy Blog Top Site of the Pinoy Blogosphere until it was taken down by the owner, Abe Olandres, has now been relaunched by the new owner, Enthropia Philippines, as TopBlogs.com.ph.

Just want to share this really cool thing that has happened to my blog last Sunday. Thanks to Pacquiao and Marquez’s Rematch, my blog has received a huge amount of traffic because of the people who searched for the results of the fight.

On my post, “The Reason Why I am Afraid of Guest Posting Here on PinoyBlogero.com”, I asked my readers on whether or not I should accept guest posting here on my blog. It was a problem that I was having second thoughts with for the longest time, which is why I decided to leave the decision making to the hands of my readers. The replies that I got were a number of “No, please don’t do guest posting”, a couple of “Sure. Go ahead”, and some “Why are you asking us? You’re the blogger. You decide”.

Phew. Sorry if I didn’t post much this past week, my final exams prevented me from blogging. One more project defense this Monday and I’m officially free from school works! Goodluck to me!
