The results are now in! The votes and judges scores have already been tallied and we now have the winner for the Pinoy Blog for the Month of October!

Please be advised that the winner of this contest was based on the number of votes which takes up 40% of the overall score and the review of the panel of judges which takes up 60%.

The judges based their scores on the following criteria:

• Blog Content - 50% (Is it enjoyable to read? Does it entertain? Is it informative? Is the content valuable?)
• Design 25% - (Is it good to the eyes? Is it easy to navigate? Is it user friendly?)
• Reader-Author Interaction - 20% (Are there any interactions between readers and authors? Is there reader participation on the comments page? Remember, a reader-author relationship is important in making a blog grow!)
• Pinoy Factor - 5% (How well does the blog portray its pinoy image? Is it Pinoy enough to be considered a Pinoy Blog?)

Here is the rundown of scores of the Top 3 blogs on this contest

• Out of the four judges, Postcard Headlines ranked 1st and received a total score of 92.20%. He got an average of 52.8% (Out of 60%) from the judges and 40% (Out of 40%) from the votes.
• PinoyAmbisyoso.com ranked 2nd and got a total score of 87.49%, Judges - 52.2%; Votes - 35.29%
• Batang Yagit ranked 3rd and got a total score of 86.18%, Judges - 48.53%; Votes - 37.65%

Two nominees were penalized because we found out that there were multiple votes and users that were registered under one IP Address, each with a small time interval from one another. If there were any intention to cheat or not, the coordinators decided to give a penalty to the blog’s vote count.

This is the the reason why it takes a lot of steps to vote. Everything is monitored.
