Ever since the start of our classes in Mapua, I had already thought of adjusting my posting frequency here in Pinoy Blogero to give myself a break from all the posting. From one post a day, I am thinking of lowering it to five posts a week. This gives me two days of rest for the whole week.
It was actually my girlfriend who kept on nagging me to get at least a day off from all the blogging. She pointed out that I am still a student who needs to focus more attention on what students ought to concentrate on.
After giving it some thought, I realized that she has a point. It really is still too early for me to pursue a career on blogging and go gung-ho with posting everyday. And to convince myself even more, I have listed below the advantages of lowering my posting frequency here in Pinoy Blogero. You can read it too, who knows when you actually might think of adjusting your own posting frequency for your blog.

I would avoid the risk of running out of things to talk about. Although highly unlikely, this scenario is still possible especially after a few years.
Readers have fewer articles to read and cope up with especially if they went on hiatus for a couple of days. Readers quickly tend to lose interest in reading a blog especially if they see that they have a lot of catching up to do. They just read the latest post and forget about the older ones.
I’ll have more time to proofread and polish my articles. Being a former writer of our school newsletter, we were trained to come up with high quality articles under pressure. I bet my previous editors are now looking at me in dismay because of those grammatical errors and inconsistent idea flows on my earlier articles. Forgive me, Masters!
I would have more time for my studies. This means that I do not have to cram anymore every time I need to do my homeworks and projects.
I could spend more time with my girlfriend . Aha! So that’s the real reason why she wanted me to quit blogging.
My internet rental expenses would be reduced greatly and I would have more to save by the end of the week (Yes, I only rent in computer shops when I blog. Tsk tsk. How poor). This means I could now easily buy the car I have been meaning to buy since I was a kid. Mazda 3!
Less work means less stress. Now I don’t have to worry about looking older! Haha!
But of course, even with this new posting frequency. I would still try to post quality articles if I have the time. I just decided to adjust it because I’ll never know when I will be busy again especially that school is here.
Do you think that Pinoy Blogero should adjust posting frequencies? Are you willing to march to Mendiola and rally against my new proclamation? If so, leave a comment below!
Happy Blogging!
