The situation back at the Manila Peninsula Hotel followed by the announcement of a region-wide curfew had got me preparing for a second Martial Law. Fortunately, nothing of the sort was being prepared behind the conspiracy curtain which is why we are back once again to our worry free lives watching Marimar and blogging about things and stuffs.
Looking back at the events that happened during the fateful day, I can’t seem to help but be bothered by the way the Philippine Army had handled the situation. I’m not a military strategist or anything, but I have played (and finished) lots of military themed video games like Metal Gear Solid, Splinter Cell, Rainbow Six, and Metal Slug to know that the front door is always the most guarded place.
Instead of ramming an APC into the front door, they should have entered at the back door, the parking lot, or even from the rooftops. Those entry points were way much cooler than hiding behind a tank.
Then again, who am I to judge them? At least nothing bad happened, right?
Just wanted to get that off my chest.Anyways, here the recap of the events that happened in the Pinoy blogosphere during the past week!
- For those who think that Magdalo is cool, I bet you would be happy to hear that our hotel-crashing heroes has a website of their own! Yeah, it’s even hosted on Bravehost! Hat tip to Andrew for sharing his discovery.
- Allen warns everyone to be aware of Trackback spam. I’ve been receiving quite a lot of it lately, too.
- ASUS EEEÂ is already out here in the Philippines. For only Php17,000 you could have your very own laptop for those blogging work that you need to do on the go. I’m definitely going to buy one!
- Manila Freelancer shares that having some knowledge with Photoshop can help improve your blog’s appeal. I agree with him. Instead of paying a professional to do it, you can save big bucks if you could do it yourself. Hmm… Note to self: Post a Photoshop tutorial for bloggers.
- Ever heard of the Pinay Scandal Campaign that was spearheaded by Marc Macuha from Macuha.com? The said campaign intends to make blogs dominate the search keyword term “Pinay Scandals” on search engines. So far, the results are promising. SELaplana shares the effects of this campaign on his blog.
- To those who were living under a rock, here is a clip of the Manila Peninsula Drama.
Happy blogging!

I think ramming the tank into the lobby was what broke the spirit of trillanes and company. it was a show of force, and in the game of psychological warfare, it was trillanes and lim who folded first! overkill? nah, it was what was needed.
trackback spam? thanks for the tip.

Reyn Well, I don’t think they intend to earn money on their website. Hehe. They want their voices to be heard online.
What can you say about their three-columned site? Hahaha. I think it’s hilarious and dizzying.

I’m amazed that even though the Magdalo site is hosted in bravenet, it is not cluttered with advertisements.

@joyfulchicken Yeah, I think so too. They just want to show the Magdalo that they are dead serious in taking them out… Though, I still think there are other ways to nuetralize the situation.
I heard rumors that Trillanes is being charged for the repairs. I know, it’s stupid, but they say it was the court’s decision.
julia Wala nga bang internet non? I didn’t know because I didn;t have time to check it out.
