I was checking my blog stats this morning when I noticed that my blog’s visits this past week was generally lower when compared to the average number of visits that I had during the previous weeks. I bet that this coming week won’t be any different because of the holidays. Yep, people are now taking the opportunity to relax and enjoy the vacation. I’m thinking of doing so too this coming Christmas!

        But what if you don’t want to waste your time for the holidays and would rather go online than to go to your Ninong and Ninang’s house for the traditional Pamasko? Or what if you are not Catholic?

        I suggest that instead of spending the week posting articles, it is better to concentrate on doing other stuffs that would be a benefit for your blog. 

       Posting your killer-posts while everybody is away would just be a waste because not a lot of people will be able to read it. Wait until the holiday comes to an end, then you could post it. So while waiting for the 2 week long vacation to end, here are some of the things that you could do while other people are enjoying their vacation.

• Acquire more knowledge about your niche. Read other blogs, look for new content
• Optimize your blog for search engines. Learn basic SEO and apply it to your blog
• Promote your blog on Social Media sites like Friendster, Facebook and even on Forums.
• Renovate or make changes to your blog. If you feel like having a new look, then do so.
• Upgrade to the latest version of your blog platform,especially if you are on Wordpress
• Study your blog’s statistics. Find out what aspect of your blog’s growth you should concentrate on

       Remember, blogging is not all about posting articles. There are other things that you need to concentrate on.
