Quick Blog Tips from Pinoy Blogero

Have you ever experienced running out of things to talk about on your blog? You try to squeeze your mind for past ideas that you’ve thought up but you still can’t think of any?

I have experienced this problem countless of times during my first few years in Blogging. I remember ending up with half-baked articles whenever I try to force my ideas.

Today, ideas are not much of a problem for me anymore. I now have tons of reserved ideas waiting for me to be made into an article thanks to my “Pinoy Blogero idea notebook”.

Keeping an Idea Notebook
An idea notebook is where I list down every idea that pops out of my head. It doesn’t need to be an actual notebook (Excuse me miss, do you have any “Idea Notebook“?), you could make use of a piece of paper or a text file on your computer, but a notebook is much better because you could take it wherever you go.

The problem with ideas is that they only last for a short time, once the thought of the idea has died down it would be very hard to come up with that idea again. With an idea notebook, you can catch the gist of that idea without worrying of forgetting about it once you sit in front of the computer.

What I do is I scribble down the idea on the notebook along with some important points of that idea. Here are some examples taken directly from my notebook.

Blogging for money
- It is not easy to earn money
- Focus on content, then money will eventually come
- Making money is an added bonus

Catchy blog titles (Revise title)
- Blog titles should catch the interest of the reader
- Types of titles:

    - Informative title
    - Creative title
    - Question title

Whenever I am in a bind, I just read through my notebook and scan through the list of ideas that I have written. Expounding the main idea into details really helps in remembering the important points of the said idea.

This tip may seem simple but it is one of those important ones that are barely practiced by many bloggers. Hope this quick tip could help you avoid running out of ideas.

Happy Blogging!
