I have been receiving requests from fellow bloggers lately asking me if I could let them guest post here in PinoyBlogero.com. Although, I know that Guest posting has some benefits on the part of the Guest poster and the blog owner, I’m a little reluctant in having it on my blog.
For the past ten months, I have been posting content about the Pinoy blogosphere and the world of blogging based from my own experience and perspective. I reckon that my readers have already become accustomed to hearing my babble that they might not like it if somebody else suddenly jumps in and posts here on PinoyBlogero.

Sure, the posts that were submitted by guest posters were helpful and interesting. But I don’t want to listen to them, I want to hear Carl Ocab’s perspective on making money online. I wanted to see the niche from the view of a 13 year old, but instead, I get posts from the very same people whom I am trying to get away from in the first place.
This is the reason why I’m afraid to accept guest posts here in PinoyBlogero.com. I don’t want my readers to feel the same way I did.
But then again, it’s not like everyone is reading PinoyBlogero.com just to hear my thoughts. I bet that there are some people who don’t care who makes the post as long as it is both interesting and helpful.
This begs the question: Do you really care who makes the posts that you read or not?
The reason why I am asking you this is that I am contemplating on whether I should allow guest posts here on PinoyBlogero.com. Yeah, in spite of what I have said above, I’m still considering it.
Aside from it lightens the workload that I need to do here on my blog every week, it would also be a good break for Pinoy bloggers looking for exposure on their blogs. I’m planning to have just one guest post a week, so you don’t need to worry about them overrunning my blog.
So, guest posts? Or no guest posts? The future of PinoyBlogero lies on your hands. Just leave your answer below!
Happy Blogging!

I do some guest blogging at bloggingtips.com and Kevin the blog owner is very keen in approving guest posts. I agree with Jhay that you make clear guidelines to avoid misunderstanding esp. that your blog has many categories to choose from. What I am more afraid is that guest bloggers might use your blog to voice out the current situation in or country. Although we have a freedom of speech and writing, I think it is still best that you concentrate more on sharing tips about being a Filipino blogger and how to improve the Pinoy community as bloggers.
Lastly, if you have decided to allow guest bloggers, I suggest you make a separate post about it rather than simply announcing it on your sidebar.
Thanks and Mabuhay ka, kapatid!

Nothing but a clear editorial guideline you yourself would create will help you decide on this question.
