Later tonight, I will be attending the “Taste Asia” event that will be held at SM Mall of Asia. It is an event where over a hundred of bloggers from the Pinoy blogosphere were invited for a night of (free) food and fun.

Being a blogger who focuses on the Pinoy blogosphere, I would be a fool to pass up on such an event. However, how about the rest of the bloggers out there? Should they also attend blogger meet-ups?

Blogging is purely an online activity. However, it doesn’t mean that we should restrict ourselves to the online world. Here are some reasons why you should attend blogger meet-ups in the future:

• It gives you a reason to scrape your butt from your computer seats and take a day off from all those blogging, at least just for a day.
• You can get to know the bloggers behind other blogs even more.
• You may also get to know other bloggers that you haven’t met with on the online world.
• You can now finally converse with real people! (How long has it been?)
• You’ll have something to talk about on your blog for the next few days.
• These kinds of events have lots of photo opportunities which you could post and brag about on your blog. (Haha! I got a pic with Master Yuga!)

Blogger meet-ups here in the Philippines are a few and far between. So, don’t let the opportunity pass you by. If a meet-up comes up on your vicinity, jump on it while you can and treat yourself to a day off.
