The WidgetBucks Blog has officially announced that they do not credit clicks that are coming from the Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Vietnam, China, Egypt, and Romania. This means that you will not be paid if the clicks come from the countries that are mentioned above.

What are the non-paying countries or regions?

We are finding that advertisers are not willing to buy traffic from Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Vietnam, China, Egypt, and Romania.

It’s really important to mention this is an advertiser decision regarding the value of that traffic, NOT WidgetBucks’ decision. We repeat: this is an advertiser decision regarding the value of that traffic, NOT WidgetBucks’ decision. I emphasize this because publishers, for whatever reason, will undoubtedly and incorrectly draw the conclusion it is solely WidgetBucks’ decision.

I guess affected blogs would be the ones who have the majority of their traffic coming from the Philippines, like here in PinoyBlogero.com, I have around 98% of my traffic coming from the Philippines. This explains why I am not earning money from WidgetBucks at all!

I guess advertisers really don’t like to advertise in a country where online buying is still a growing trend. Well, we can’t blame Pinoy’s really, a lot of us prefer to go to Quiapo or Divisoria to look for cheap stuffs instead of buying online.

I also recall that in PayPerPost, blogs found in other parts of the world are being favored over Pinoy blogs. Discrimination? Nah, they’re not just interested in advertising their products to those who does not care.

It’s a good thing there are still other services that still don’t mind advertising in countries like ours. If ever others would follow WidgetBucks, then it would be bad news to the making money online sector of the Pinoy Blogosphere. Let’s pray that they wouldn’t.
